Each year, Danish universities compete to attract students to their open house events.

For the University of Copenhagen, the goal was to stand out as the country’s most prestigious and academically demanding institution.

As Denmark’s oldest and most honoured university, home to numerous Nobel prize winners, the creative idea was simple: only invite the ones who can solve the riddle.

Across eleven faculties, we launched eleven challenges with one answer. Those who cracked the code proved they were sharp enough to belong and were encouraged to contact the university for verification. By gamifying the campaign, we invited only those truly qualified to join

The result? The most visited open house in the university’s history.
